Qualifications:

Qualifying License: Special
Qualifying Endorsement: School Administrator

Reports to: 
Principal. 
Job Goal: 
To assist the principal in fulfilling his chief responsibility of promoting the educational well-being of each student in the school. 
Performance Responsibilities: 
1. Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school. 
2. Serves as principal in the absence of the regular principal as directed. 
3. Performs such tasks and assumes such responsibilities as the principal may from time to time assign. 
Terms of Employment: 221 Days 
Salary and work year to be established by the Board of Trustees. 
Evaluation: 
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board of Trustees' policy on evaluation of administrative personnel.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of three years successful classroom teaching experience.

2. Current license from the Nevada Department of Education as a School Administrator.

Reports to:

Principal

Job Goal:

To assist the principal in the areas of supervison and evaluation of staff, activities/athletics, attendance and discipline in support of district and school goals.  Manage various student support services, programs and related responsibilities as assigned by the principal.

 Performance Responsibilities:

1. Assist in supervision of alternative in-school instruction, detention, and home bound instruction.

2. Assist with supervising the curricular and extra-curricular activities of the school.

3. Assist in the area of ensuring proper attendance procedures and follow-up activities for students.

4. Assist with creating a school climate that is positive and productive for students, staff, and community.

5. Attend and participate in student, staff, and school related community functions.

6. Manage time effectively so that priorities are attended to in an effective manner.

7. Interact with parent, student, and staff concerns in a sensitive, timely manner.

8. Assist with Student Leadership Program as directed.

9. Participate in district-level activities and meetings as assigned by the principal or superintendent.

10. Assist with maintaining high standards of student conduct and consistently enforce discipline according to the Nevada Revised Statues, Board policy while enuring due process rights of students.

11. Attend meetings related to student behavior, discipline, and attendance as assigned.

12. When assigned, serve as a school representative contact with police, probation officers, and other agencies in handling student attendance, behavior concerns, and investigations.

13. Observe and evaluate staff as directed.

14. Serve as LEA as directed.

15. Prepare reports as required.

 

Terms of Employment:

Full-time or part-time depending on need.  Teacher salary schedule, 184 contracted days, including zero hour.  No overtime or compt time accrued.
